crapy ping on counter-strike
I have DSL thru a Cisco 675 router and the best ping I get in Counter-Strike is around 500 while everyone else is around 0-200. I have friends that play with a dial-up connection and they get a better ping rate than me.
I talked to Qwest customer support, couldnt help I talked to Cisco customer support, same thing anyone got any sugestions? thanx |

actually i heard that over the last 4 days Qwest has been having a very hard time with some of their equipment, my friend had the same problem with counterstrike and Ultima Online and did a route trace, both went through qwest, he called them and they said they had been having some difficulty and that it should be back to normal operation by the end of this week.

Yes, that is very strange indeed. I'd expect a ping like that for someone with a 14.4 modem! Has it always been that way, or is it a recent shift? Try going to www.dslreports.com and testing your speed under tools. I get around 70 ping on dsl, so that number is VERY high. Good Luck.
