Crappy Nvidia driver!!!
Did anyone else download the newest (release on 12/3/01) geforce2 driver from nvidia (the Detonator) and experience problems with games (specifically Aliens vs. Predator 2)? I did...I had to revert to the previous one. Just curious...

I think they pulled down th latest version not long again, guess that thought there were probs w/ the drivers as well.

Well sometime one or two weeks ago, I saw nVidia's site had a newer version of Detonator, can't remember what version it was...a few days later, they took that version off the site again.

I have downloaded the Detonator XP version 23.11{just a few week ago!}..It had no problem at all!did you experience problem when playing alien vs Predator 2..?
what is the problems that you experience?I had no problem playing game like Counterstrike,quake 3 and other games...what is the name of your video card? |

My card is an Apollo Geforce2 GTS 64MB DDR. I'm running a 1.2Ghz Athlon w/ 512MB PC-133. AvP2 worked fine for about a month, but then I downloaded the lastet Nvidia driver (version 23.11 released on 12/3/01) and then the intro videos got choppy (Fox and Sierra) and also any mouse movement during the game got choppy. As soon as I reverted back the the previous driver (version 21.83 released on 10/25/01) the problem went away. Counter-strike worked fine with both, however; only AvP2 was affected.
