Wolfenstein Truform

In the graphics setup for Wolfenstein there is an option to turn Truform on or off. Anyone know what Truform is? I don't think I've seen it in any other games.

Truform is a techonology only available on ATI Radeon 8500 cards that uses the gpu to interpolate higher order surfaces from the original traingle setup for character models. It makes pointy and square low polygon models look smooth and round with no loss in framerate and can be easily implemented in old games too like quake etc with a patch from the developers.
