AGP 4x. What's the deal?
Well, I know that 4x is the fastest of the AGP.
My old Viper 770 was running at 2x on my 440BX mobo, but my new mobo supports 4x so I changed the jumpers and now it's running at 4x. But I've noticed no difference, plus M$ Office menu animations are displaying slower! Where should I notice the fast speed of AGP 4x?

I know the board supports it but does the video card. That may be the problem.

You're not going to notice any performance differences with 4x AGP unless you are using very high resolutions (1600x1200 and higher for example). And yes, you need a 4x video card and board.

Yes, I do believe that all new cards are 4x.
