I don't want to use the game port on my sound card for my Game Pad and was wondering if there is a controller card I could use instead that have a game port? ISA or PCI doesn't matter. Thanks

Does your computer has USB ports ? If not, try to install a USB card, and get an adapter for your gamepad. Hope that helps,

Yes there are, as I have a one sitting around here somewhere, that was in a Compaq. However, I can't think of an exact brandname at the moment. If you do some searching on google you may be able to come up with something. Someone else here might also know of an exact brandname. HTH

I use the game port to usb adapter for my interact axis pad that came with it. It doesn't seem to work with my normal 2 axis 4 button controler though. You're best bet would be to just buy a cheap used pci soundcard and use that just for the gameport.

Just for your info... Thrustmaster used to make a PCI game controller card with some sort of adjustment on the back. It had a game port and a knob for adjusting (sensitivity?) (speed?) something. I used to see them all the time at the BX in Okinawa and I remember specifically they were made by Thrustmaster.
