RTCW v AvP2

Well Santa was good to me. I got RTCW and AvP2 for Christmas.

I've been running both at the same time and although it breaks my heart to say it (I'm a great Id fan)- so far - AvP2 is the better game.

You cannot imagine my disapointment. I was expecting great things of RTCW but it was pretty mediocre until the zombies turned up. At this point, I'm sneaking into the suppply base and I sincerely hope things get better. I haven't said WOW! yet.

However, playing the Marine in AvP2 had me by the scrotum from the beginning. It has all the action, tension, and excitement I crave. It's as tho they looked at Quake2, System Shock, and Half-life and took lessons from all of them. I just hope the Predator and Alien levels are just as good. This game gets a definite WOW! and ARRGH!

Come on Id, you've got to do better in the second half...please.

I got rtcw only, and I agree with you, the game looks great but the gameplay is very stupid, and the AI is very bad.
I was disappointed with the game ...

I haven't played RTCW; however, I just finished Aliens versus Predator 2 (Marine) last week. I really enjoyed the experience and was truly terrified during it! I just started the Predator levels and this second game of three looks equally as fun. Have a great weekend all and a Happy New Year.
