Looking for good games

I haven't had a computer that's been able to handle anything new for a while. My new system will handle just about anything. I need to know what games I NEED to rot my brain with. I was thinking of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I like Action, strategy, and sports. I used to play Age of Empires, and liked that style. Anyway...throw me some names, and I will be very appreciative! Thanks

Nate

I'm still liking Half-Life and its various mods, like Counter Strike and Day of Defeat.

Deefinetly get return to catsle wolfenstein. It is a great game and if you have a good Internet connection the multiplayer is great. Stronghold is a good game kinda loke AOE. I would also recommcomend sudden strike. Ghost recon isnt bad. Also take a loo at Empire Earth(won PC game of the year from gamespy) and Civ3

Flight Sims : Microsoft Flight Sim, Crimson Skys

Action : Half-Life, Diablo (1 and 2)

Strategy : Age of Empires (1 and 2) Cossacks, Star Craft

Those are the main type...oh yeah theres RPG which is pretty good...but most of my RPG games are kinda old so I am not mentioning

Wolf, Half-Life (Counter-Strike and Day of defeat) Diablo II if you like RPGS, quake III and UT still have their charms.

For FPS action games Wolfenstein and Serious Sam are must haves. Half-Life is a really good game but is getting a little dated- I would suggest Red Faction instead- very similar gameplay but with an updated engine and graphics.

My son and his friends recommend Red Alert 2 and Baldurs Gate 2 for strategy and role-playing respectively.

Also consider:

Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed

You should download the demo of:

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault by EA ---> http://mohaa.ea.com

It is 133 Mb so even with broadband it takes a little while. The full version is coming out in a couple of weeks in the stores, but you could download it and try it out first. I like it so far. I had only one problem so far. While I was online playing a multiplayer game, the NIMBDA worm hit. Lucky I have McAfee online so it did not affect me too bad. Don't worry, it was not the game that did it, it was the server I was connected to. It could happen while you are online anywhere. You just have to know and watch out for the warning signs. My warning sign was that the game started to run in slow motion and I was loosing control of my guy. I disconnected right away when it happenned.

STAY AWAY FROM CASTLE WOLFENSTEIN!
It's a bad game, I didn't like it, get Serious Sam: The Second Encounter instead! It will be available on 1/15/2002.
As for strategy, I recommend Black and White, Commandos II, and Red Alert 2.

Cool DA GAME LIST

List:
Max Payne (high requirements) there is strategy but not that hard.
Kings Quest Series (Especially the last one: Prince of Thieves)
Motorcross Madness (All reflex but killer graphics, and it's a blast over the net)
Unreal Tournament (Of Course)
Star Wars Monopoly

Picked up Delta Force 3, Star Wars GAlactic Battle grounds, and REturn to Castle Wolfenstein. Loved all of them. Thanks for the advice!
