Being a new and enthusiastic gamer I often see news releases about signing up for beta testing. Just what does this entail and what are the requirements for a beta tester?

Requirements? Time to play, basically. Previous experience as a beta tester will probably help.
What it entails is you get the pre-release copy of the game along with a few hundred or few thousand others, and all of you play the game for free. The catch is you're supposed to find potential/existing bugs and exploits and report them to the developers so they can be corrected. If it's a game you're interested in playing for some time to come after its release, it's actually pretty fun to beta test. You get to put alot of opinions into the mix that might influence things about the game that concern you. Last edited by Xayd; 01-08-2002 at 09:45 PM. |

Thank you Xayd. It is a game I'm interested in and I think I'll go sign up.
