I am a long term fan of the Logitech cordless for work and games, but they are getting hard to find now. I am looking for a replacemnt!Anyone recommend something cordless thats good for games? So far I have been fairly disappointed by optical. I made the mistake of trying a Logitech, which was terrible. Then I found out I Microsoft Optical are better and wished I'd tried one of those instead.

My friend has the Microsoft cordless optical, which has a different shape than the Microsoft regular corded optical. The cordless shapes your hand like a glove and real easy to grip, but it's just too expensive to buy for me(I think $59).

well, only used it for about 5 min., so could not tell you if the optical is good or not. But the good placed buttons on this mouse and how its shaped for your hand is what makes it stand out!

I picked up an Intellimouse explorer 3.0 for $39... Works well for me and I do a lot of gaming. I'm sure the wireless is good too, but it was out of stock when I went to best buy.

The logitech dual optical has sensitivity approaching if not exceeding that of the Razer Boomslang. I use one and will never switch to another M$ mouse again

Hmm! Which to go for then? The Intellimouse Cordless, or the Mouseman dual.
I must admit, perhaps a corded mouse is a good idea, because cordless optical are very heavy! The batteries are bigger than the ball mice. BUUUT I was bitten by the standard Logitech optical. It really wasn't good! |

I prefer the ms intellieye optical because it fits my hand, all buttons are positioned the way I like em, and the response is very good. Also the mouse is very light. + Quality is very high, after 2 years of intense (at least 8 hours/day) usage the mouse still works as new. (I used to smash at least 2 mice every year due to the dirt that clutters up on the ball)

Okay, how to resolve this between the Microsoft and the Logitech? Go read some tech data!
The first thing is don't buy cordless for games. The reporting rate is too slow, which makes the mouse skip around too much. Okay, but I must admit that I have used a standard Logitech cordless for a long time with games and have no complaints. If you do buy cordless, buy the Microsoft Optical. It is better than the Logitech. The Logitech has the nasty habit of switching off in the middle of games and it's reporting rate is only 50Hz, compared to 85Hz with the Microsoft. Actually, the Microsoft reporting rate is exceptional. Not as high as a corded mouse though. If you buy corded, then the Logitech Dual wins hands down. It's accuracy is far higher than the Microsoft. It is said to be one of the highest resolution mice there is. End of story. I have to say that I prefer the look of the Microsoft mice. They are really nice and all the buttons look in the right place! The Conclusion????????????? A Logitech Dual Optical is on order! If I get any problems with the cable, I will buy a Microsoft Optical Cordless. Thank you all for your help!

Okay, I got the mice today, and have to say I am impressed. There is no doubt that the dual is much better than the cordless Logitech optical. Reporting rate is great and when they say the switch on is instant - they mean it!! I will never go cordless again!
