Glide Wrappers

Has anyone had any success using Glide Wrappers to run older games (rather than N64 emulators!) on newer non-Glide 3D cards?

I've got 'The Sentinel Returns' (a retro-remake) which I'd love to get running in Hardware mode rather than software... but my GeForce II MX isn't recognised by the game - it's Glide only! I've tried to use Glide Wrappers but have suffered serious stability issues, as well as display issues in the 'non-3D' parts of the game...
Any advice?

As an interesting aside... would it surprise you if I told you that Deus Ex ran better with a Voodoo I (one!!!) than with the GeForce card on my PII400 system (64Mb RAM)... It seems the Unreal Engine's Direct 3D implementation left a lot to be desired - but then I gues it did come out when 3dfx were graphics card king...
