Medal of Honor
Hello folks,
I fired up my "WinTendo" box and played a demo of "Medal of honor, allied assult". This game uses the Quake3 "arena" engine and the game is loosly based on "Saving Private Ryan". The game is a FPS where the time is in the midst of WWII. Very well done and a blast to play. No goofy monsters, no "fancy" weponry just great physics and fantastic story. I consider this a great game for a "shooter". Intelligently done and accurate. I'll be buying this when its released... Here is the site having both a multi-play and single play. The single play is a MONSTER but thank the Godz for DSL!! www.mohaa.ea.com/

SO pc I can do that as soon as i get it, instead of waiting for sony to put the adapter on the market. I love 1st person ww2 shooters, not many good ones out there, this one looks nice.

Yes Toaster,
The game is getting brilliant reviews here in the UK. It's everything that RTCW should have been, but wasn't. I've never played the demo yet - my boys won't stop playing long enough. It looks as though it might just be the game to topple Halflife from the "all time greats" number one spot. Mind you, I'm sorry to hear there are no goofy monsters.....

Looks interesting. I enjoyed the first Medal of Honor on the Playstation a few years back. Anyone know a release date on this?

Howdy,
I'm not sure but it seems as though the game has been released but the site suggests late February. Got me folks! Anywho, a fantastic game. I love statagy/war games, especially like this one. I played the RTCW demo and it was intertaining but I'm tired of "monsters" popping out of the walls and the like. I also didn't see much in the way of physics. However, at the highest setting (difficulty) the physics were awesome. One or 3 shots and you be D.E.D. Dead. The first time out, I was mowed down by a surprize Nazi that "stooped", shot and then "stooped". So far, the highest "hit ratio" I can obtain is 55% on the "medium" setting. In the lowest setting, I had to "kill" my cohorts because they were causing me more trouble then it was worth. They keep popping up in my line of fire and so on..... No Medal of Honor for me I guess.... ![]() Still, when available, I'll be grabbing it....great game with some historical accuracy. |

Got the game last night. It rocks!
I have not been able to get through Omaha beach yet, tough one, even on easy mode ![]() I think I need to switch to medium, because I got too far too fast. This game is very good, just wish I had broadband to play multi...

Actually there's a good strategy to get up to the beach. I know how you feel. I'd be embarrassed to tell you how long I spent trying to just touch sand. If you want a little advice just email me or ask. And yes it is one AWESOME game. I've finished it and really wanted more.

the demo is on the cd that comes with CGW this month
would be worth cover price if you're stuck with dial-up. i don't know if mohaa will beat CS, UT, or HL as best multiplayer, but the single player is truly awesome. if every fps was this good id would only earn money by licensing engines. |

What an awesome game. I have only played the demo, but keep playing it over and over again!
I believe the game was released in the US this past week but in the UK, where I am I hear the 9th of February? I cannot wait and might take leave form work to spend the day sinking my teeth into it! cheers Haggis |

Hello folks,
From what you folks are saying, the game must have been released. Now all I have to do is scare it up. I too hoped CTCW would be like this game but iD insisted on using "monsters" and the like. ID forsake "physics" for entertainment . Shame shame, MOH is EXACTLY what I hoped of RTCW. I became board with RTCW when the "catacombs" mission began and stopped playing it. The physics of MOH was what I found the most interesting and dependant of difficulty settings, the "realisem" was quite good. Maybe this game will start a new "thing"...I can only hope. There is oodles of "material" to work with and the Quake engine does it great justice. |

What annoyed me about RTCW was the fact that you didn't know who you were supposed to be fighting. Nazis? Monsters? Well we know it's both but the back and forth mood that the game set you in stunk. And here's an indestructable foe who is only contained by magic and has been intombed for centuries but you are able to topple him and his cohorts with modern weaponry. MofH was definitely refreshing and with an indescribable realism.

Realism
I have yet to play the game or demo but the reviews are good and so are the screenshots! I can't wait to play. I like playing games that are REAL, and this game seems to fit that category perfectly. 91% by PC-Gamer

Yes I saw it advertised for $35.00. Kudoes to EA for keeping to such a reasonable price. I paid $56.00 for RTCW and was more than doubly disappointed as I see some of you guys were.

Just finished the game...Awesome!!! I must say this is the best looking FPS that I have ever played!! as long as you go into the advanced settings and crank everything up to Max. If you have an Electronics Botique close by they will price comp Circuit City at $29.00 and also give you a $10.00 rebate...not bad for $19.99!!
yeeee haw!!
