Question Agp 2x 4x ???

I just put a system together w/ a Soyo Dragon plus and the Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 64MB AGP card. Is this 4X AGP??? or 2X??? In BIOS, The rate only shows 2X and 1X. Does this mean the BIOS is outdated???

Hi dw_pedunculo,

Check the Soyo website for the mobo's FAQs and see what they say. Perhaps a BIOS update can address this. If it can't, then don't worry, I haven't seen any performance increase between 2x and 4x. In fact some cards default to 2x even when the mobo supports "4x".

I agree, no major improvements between 2x and 4x.
