Dedicated C-strike Server!!! Check It Out!
ok, i decided that since i will be at work most of the day today and tomorrow i would set up a cstrike server on my computer for all us Pcmechers to frag, (oh and tiretool, i figured out we dont need 2 copies of the game to be running the server and play it at the same time on the machine, you just set the port number to a different number) Come back here and let me know what kind of pings you get and if there was anyone else in the server, HAPPY FRAGGIN!

i noticed you checked it out, how was your ping? and where ya located, working on getting some bots up so theres at least something to do in there!

Ping was decent, 50-80, around my average, although that is only with me alone, so it would be a little higher. I'm located in IL.

Is that the final state of the server? I got a CBM yet my ping is still up around 200. Something seems wrong, in fact last night I think I even got banned for a 250 ping(server name had something about 250 ping = ban and I couldn't reconnect, however the cable around here is not reliable), the last test of my bandwidth was high enough(1600+ kb/ps). What could be going wrong?

i havnt played with the settings yet, dont want to screw it up. but my friend in california is getting a ping of under 100 and he is on cable. I have an upload of 1300kbps right now. Dont know what is going on.

ok, well i am getting frustrated with this, i had the server on all day yesterday and somewhat today and cant seem to get anyone in there. I am shutting it down for now, if you would like to do a little fraggin and can get a few people to come on and play give me and email at Southrk@muc.edu and let me know when and i will start it up, or give me a call at 330-823-6982 and i will be more than happy to whoop yall!

You killed me a bunch of times! I think UT could be more popular(?), I need to get a copy(might get one today), I also need a lot of C-Strike practice, I feel like a newbie again, the memories that brings back...
