smokin Game cuts out with hardware acceleration enabled???

The sys is a P3 1g,512Ram with a new Leadtec G3ti200 128MB ram. The game is IEL's Castrol/Hondas Supuperbike. As soon as the game starts, the sound blinks on then the game pops back to the desktop and all is as if I never tried to play it? I've tried various sorts of drivers, re-innstalled the game blah, blah blah. The game will play with out hardware acceleration enabled but looks crappy even at higher resoultions. And the most recent version of Direct X has been installed. I haven't had any problems with any other game or with the GForce 2 mx the G3 has replaced.
Does anyone have and ideas?

Know someth'in? That's a good point. But, I was unable to find any links to any patches. So, I'm stumped for now until anybody can come up with a better idea. ThanX, though. I appreciate your reply.
