I just downloaded a bunch of new skins for UT. I have the current 4.36 version patch installed. I just don't know how to get the skins so I can use them. They've also been unzipped. I've tried taking the files from the unzipped folder and copying them to the UT textures folder, but that didn't work. Someone please help

When you download skins/soundpacks etc for UT they usually come in two flavours - a single umod file or a few different files.
The umod ones are simpler as you should be able to just double click on these and they will install for you without any hassle. Yours sounds like the other type where you need to put the files in the right place manually. Basically you just need to put any files ending in .u and .int into your UT/System folder, any ending .utx in UT/Textures, and any ending .uax in your UT/Sounds folder. Load up UT and you should be able to select the skin from the player setup menu. Hope this helps |

Also, if you want others to see and hear what you got on the web(I think this is only if you serve, but it could be either way), you will need to go into the Unreal Tournament ini file. It will look like a text file. Double click it. It should say [URL]at the top and on down there should be something like:
ServerPackages=FMJPackage The way to get there is to open up your UT folder and go into system folder. Open the the ini file and put the new file name down like this ServerPackages=Newfilenamepackage hit enter and exit out saving the changes. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, make a copy of your ini file before altering it. This can save your butt if you had a bad typo or edited the wrong file. If you did flub up, you can save the old copy over the new and degraded one. I have actually had a few files not work right untiol I did this, but I do alot of MP games. It is a tournament, afterall.
