Hi BassMaster4000,

First you have to learn to make maps for Half-Life (these are the best sites):

http://halflife.gamedesign.net/realtut.shtml
http://www.planethalflife.com/workshop/default.asp
http://www.vlatitude.com/index.php

The best level editor is to use is WorldCraft, the full version is on the Half-Life CD.

Once you can make some basic maps with lighting, prefab elements, and (even harder...), good textures, then learn the map triggers for Counter-Strike:

It takes a lot of time and skill to make a good map (it's almost like CAD work), so take your time and learn the basics.

Hope that helps.

Once you can do it, it becomes addicting. Im always making new maps. Even recently my friend created a map that modles our school. Its hillarious.
