irq
My ge-force3 ti200 i just got and installed. it used to run fine on 800*600 resolution for like the first 2 days but then it started getting a little sluggish on me. its set to irq 16 but it said it should be set to 11 or 13 i forget but it wouldnt make a difference as long as it doesnt have two things set to irq16 right? i dont think i have a lot of things open in the background but im on xp so what can i close under processes? the only way i get fast fps is if i run it on 600*400 and normal or low textures i dont know why its doing this to me but id like to tryen get some good graphics going. all your help is appreciated
system specs: 256 mb sdram windows xp pro ge-force3 ti200 thanks again for everybodys help on pc mech

I think there're only 15 IRQs. If that's not a typo then something is wrong.
Type in "IRQ16?" and post again in Hardware. I know it's called double posting and you're not supposed to do it but no one is seeing you here. If it is a typo they'll still need to know your motherboard make and processor speed and hard drive size. The one time I came across a problem like that the drive was just about out of space. The guys will also have questions about overheating. HTH

I have a card that runs on IRQ17. Its done thru some acpi trickery that windows does. It makes its own up, literaly.
Have you turned off(fsaa) full screen anti aliasing? How about the anisotropic filter? All these should be off for performance. Also use 16 bit color unless you have a card that will run these settings without takeing a performance hit. Going from 32 to 16 bit color will double your frame rate, depending. |
