that pretty much sums it up. my kid is the one complaining. i forgot where is a recommended site to download a generic driver that is best compatible with the viper 2 video card. also any common problems causing the screen to flicker so bad. the resolution is on a 17 inch monitor with 800x600 and the performance tab in the game was set to the fastest display with the least detail.

Pardon my ignorance Doc, But I thought the Diamond Viper 11 was a Savage chipset? Will the Nvidia reference drivers work with a Savage chipset? Is racerbrownn not better getting updated Savage drivers from Diamond? |

yeah, the nvidia update didn't work. i don't think that diamond supports the chip anymore as was the reason to find a generic driver. i will try to browse the diamond site and see if i get anything. any other ideas, please post.

i downloaded the s-200 reference driver from www.diamondmm.com in the section for the viper 2 card but the latest driver was 10/00. i installed the current driver and card in 4/01. don't think i'm going to have much luck. is anyone else having any luck with the viper2 and modern games??
