Radeon 7000?
Has anyone got a Radeon 7000? Is it any good?
I'm on a budget here and I wanna go ATI for the hardware DVD encoder. AFAIK, the 7200 is now a discontinued product and the 7500 seems to be a bit above my budget (especially in the UK). |

The 7200 is indeed discontinued and BTW, it sells for a bit more than the 7000 around here [$100 vs $90 for the 7k]. I purchased a 7200 just a few weeks ago and am kind of interested to see what is the difference between the two. The fact that it was discontinued, for me anyways, was appealing.

If I remember correctly, the 7000 is the old VE while the 7200 is the old LE. And the VE smaller memory bandwidth than the LE.

What do VE and LE stand for? I'm guessing Light Edition and...?
