Geforce TI500 vs Ti200
I just checked Newegg and see they have the Gainward Geforce 2 TI500/XP 64MB card for $122, and the TI200 for $149. Am I missing something or is this a super deal for the TI500? Somebody check it out and let me know please. I was going to get the TI200 after their new models are released in March, figuring the price would drop then but wonder if now might be the time to upgrade to the 500.

Yes, I'm afraid you did... they have the Gainward GeForce 2Ti for $122, not the Geforce 3Ti 500, which is by far a better card. If the Ti 500 was on sale for that cheap, I'd be all over it too!
Sorry to burst your bubble. On a side note, they do have a heck of a deal on the Gainward/Cardexpert GeForce 3 Ti200 64MB (NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 GPU), Power Pack Golden Sample. It's going for $149 and it's a heck of a Radeon All-In-Wonder competitor! Best of luck with your shopping!

I'd go with the ti500 because that price difference is'nt very big. every little bit counts.

Not that big? The very cheapest Ti 500 card on newegg.com is the VGA PNY Verto GeForce 3 / TI500 64MB DDR TV/DVI, and it's $269. I'd consider that a fair amount of difference from $122 or $149.

The gf3 has the programmeable shaders whereas the gf2 doesnt. You can OC the gf3ti200 to some pretty good figures, almost ti500 specs.

I'd get the G3 Ti 200 instead of the G2 - the G3 is DX 8 compatible and significantly faster.

Lord Prism
That's the one I've been planning to get. Have read nothing but good reviews here and elsewhere.
