Question Agp

I been having some problem with some games I've been installing. Someone told
me to check my graphic card. I checked it out. I have no graphic card installed.
I check my motherboard manual it shows there is a spot for it.It says 132-pin 4X accelerated graphics port (AGP) slot. What kind of board should I buy and will it make a difference. Thanks

Hi alkscd,

First, what type of system do you have. What are the specs? Is a brand name system (Compaq, Dell, etc.)?

I would disable the onboard video and go with a GeForce2/3 or Radeon 7200 card, should be a big improvement for gaming.

It would work, but it's a MX200 card which is a crippled version of the regular MX card and would run slow. Last week I ordered a GeForce2 GTS-V (much faster than any MX card) card off NewEgg for $48 and it works great, I would take a look at that instead.

VGA Visiontek/GTS-V 32%

I bought the GeForce2 GTS-V, as you said. I installed it no problem. I install one motorcross madness which worked very well with the old reg. video card. How with the new card the graphics are not clear and dark to black emages.I'm working with windows 98SE. I have two different O/S with two serate hard drive. When I load the same program on windows XP Home on the same computer different hard drives. The program works fine. Is their a ajustment I could make.
I been tring to make some adjustments in the setup no change.
