New Detonator drivers?

Is anybody using the latest (27.50) Nvidia drivers yet. I found them at http://www.visiontek.com/detonator4.shtml . It doesn't say whether these are a beta version or not. I think I will download them when I get time and see how badly they screw my system. Hmmmmmm.

Since that nvidia site doesn't mention them, installing the drivers isn't a good idea.

Some users report having problems with beta nVidia drivers, but I have not had such bad luck. And FYI, the latest version is 27.70 and can be downloaded from here. I'm using these drivers currently and they are working satisfactory.

Tiretool, Do the beta drivers improve performance or contain any additional features?
If not, what are the advantages of using the latest drivers?

PS Thanks for fragging my a** on the UT server the other night.

It has been reported these drivers are not 27.50 but 21.83 and prone to cause many systems to lockups. They are not recommended.

My system is proof that they aren't causing lockups... I'm using them as we speak. I play several games without problems. I would recommend them to any GeForce owner. I'm even using them on an nForce motherboard!

Okay where do you get these numbers? Nvidia's site lists the current drivers at 23.11 Where does the 27.xx come from?

Several websites distribute "leaked" beta drivers, but I prefer to get mine from the-ctrl-alt-del.com. I've always went there for beta drivers and I've not gotten a bad set of drivers yet.
