Ok, I've been looking to get some old school snes games on my comptuer. I did it a long time ago, it worked and it was great. Now, I cant find any sites to download any games. I just want an easy-to-use site with games i can download for my snes emulator...Does anyone know any site thats simple?

While the emulators are legal, I believe I read somewhere that companies like Nintendo, Sony, etc frown upon the roms. Hence, that is why it is harder for you to find websites. I can't see why these companies are being stuborn on this issue since the graphics are rude compared to today's generation consoles. But they are legally in the right when it comes to this issue.

I'd feel better if we steered clear of these discussions... we've been through this before time and time again.
I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know the rules as to downloading ROMS (even if you own the original) but it seems to me that if they are easily downloaded, and there are no checks and balances to see if you own the original, it can quickly lead to illegal activity, and we do not condone this type of activity. I won't lock this thread (yet) but I'm keeping a sharp eye on it, and I hope that it will fade away rather quickly. There are plenty of websites and forums that specialize in ROMS for most all console-to-PC applications... Thank you for your understanding.

If you use a p2p software prog like Kazaa or Morpheus, you can download as many roms as you can find. I currently have over 800 nes roms and 400 snes roms. Just type in "roms", "snes", "nes" or whatever you think will work. By the it is legal to download roms if you own the original game. I know I own 800 nintendo games...

As long as we are talking about downloading ROMS that you own, I have no quarrel with this discussion. I'd feel better about it if you could direct me to some laws reguarding it though.
