games shutting off
I have a minor problem with game playing on all three of my computers.While right in the middle of a game it just turns off and the desktop comes up.No lockups.It happens with many different games not just one.I'm sure this happens to everybody once in a while and it's more annoyance than problem.Does anyone know what causes this?

Are all your drivers up to date? I have had problems like this when my color settings in game are different from the desktop settings, try that. Are there any IRQ conflicts, you want your video card to have it's own IRQ (usualy 11). If there is something sharing the same IRQ, like the sound card, see if it is in the PCI slot right next to the AGP slot. These two slots share the same IRQ. This is assuming your using an AGP card. Try these things they may help you out, hope so. Oh and greetings from another CT resident. DB

One has xp,one has me,and the other has 98.It happens most often on my HP which is running me,least often in my sony which is running 98,and my new build has xp.All the drivers have been updated in the recently.thanks for responding.
