Yeah, the video card is often overlooked, a lot of machines (retail type) with your specs had VooDoo2 or banshee cards which have trouble with some of the newer games.

Think Quake3 on steriods. If your machine can just run Quake3, you will have a rough time with MOHAA. I have a 1.1GHz Thunderbird and a GF2 32MB, and it runs ok. Not at max detail, but it runs fine.

problem with the development

There have been thoughts on the AA message boards that when accessing graphic heavy areas of the game it will be slow on any machine. Some say that there are major flaws with the engine.

Roger that. I have a 1.4 T-Bird, and it runs fine on it, except for the levels with snow falling. Then it's terribly jerky.

Actually, the first scenes in the first level seem to be some of the most demanding in the game, so don't get discouraged if it looks awful at first.

I have a celeron 900 and an ATI 64 meg Radeon VIVO, and the game ran well, but still hit 10-15 FPS in places. It was by far more demanding than RTCW.

BTW, if you haven't bought the game yet, I'm gonna sell mine for $25. I played it for less than 2 weeks, and it is still like brand new, and was never registered.
