problems with mw4

hey everybody, i just picked up a copy of mechwarrior 4: vengeance by microsoft and i've got a couple questions. when i try to run it on my relatively new build, i'm fine up until i attempt to launch one of the missions, instant actions, or multiplayer games. i've got windows xp and whenever i try to start one of these (anything using the actual graphics and stuff outside of the menus), i get this big crazy error (i'll post it next time i get it) and it pops up this menu asking me if i want to exit, continue, or get more info. of course i tried pressing continue and it pops right back to the game and it's fine for the rest of the time i'm playing mw4. it only does it again if i exit the game and go back in later. anybody else have this problem or know of any fixes? i've checked the graphics and sound conflicts and stuff from the readme file and i don't seem to have a problem. any help would be immensely appreciated...

josh

Have you tried the compatibility mode(in xp) for the game?
Latest drivers for your vid card? Keep at it!
