Exclamation Cs Strike

I have just started online gaming and have terrible coonection problems.
I run AOL 7 on 56k modem.
When I run AOL just to surf the net it is ok.
When I try to run CS STRIKE..... AOL connection is frequently lost.
When I try to re-connect the message say's PPP LINK COULD NOT BE ESTABLISHED which I think is something to do with protocol.
AOL dont want to help.

Any ideas/patches?

I tried to play CS with a 56K modem before, but I couldn't, I think we need a faster connection!

OH MY! You have the worst of both worlds! AOL is notoriously terrible for online games and 56K is not nearly fast enough to keep up online!

Get rid of AOL and get cable. That should solve the connection part of your problem. The other half is what kind of box you run.

Yes, by all means get rid of aol, as it(aol) will add much to your ping.
Packet loss may be greater too. If you insist on a dialup then at least get a hardware modem, such as those made by diamond or usr. Other than that, cable or dsl will greatly improve your gaming.
Enjoy

AOL is internet for dummies (no offense). Get cable, not much more expensive.

can't say much about satilite but if you don't get rid of the caps Tiretool might do it for you.

if you're thinking about gaming and you don't want to be a sitting duck, don't get sattelite. for the most reliable service, check your local isp's.

Your connection goes through AOL servers first, and that's where your bandwidth takes a huge hit.
