Thumbs are ok, but jpg are corrupt.
I'm trying to view jpg images from our recent vacation. Most of the photos turned out great but I've run into a "first" for me with the digital camera:
I'm using the Jasc Paint Shop Pro software for viewing them. They are stored in My Pictures on the C: Drive. The thumbnail images are complete in My Pictures, but when opened for viewing, a few of the images are corrupt. Maybe only a third will show, and other 2/3 will be a bright green color with a negative image quality to it. I assume these shots are goners, but I just don't get why I can view them complete as thumbs but with the microsoft product, but not as full images with either. BTW, the browser from paint shop pro sees the thumbs corrupted. Only the MS (XP Pro) viewer gets the thumbs right. Any ideas here?

Possibly not enough memory. Thumbnails take less memory to render versus a full size image. Are you opening more than one photo at a time? Is the window with all the thumbnails running inthe background while trying to open full size image?
If so, try minimizing the thumbs as the full size iamge is being rendered. |

Well, I don't think it's a hardware issue I can open adjacent images from the file without problem while the corrupt image and thumbs are running in the background. I think it's weird that some thumbs show normal. Are thumbnails jpg format? If that is the right way to ask...
