What about your Operating System?
Okay, lets get the computer up to date and see if this problem gets solved. First let's update windows.. Click start then 'windows update', on the web page that pops up click 'product updates'. Download all of the updates. You will have to reboot several times. You may want to update office as well, if you have it. Defrag your hard drive. Error check your hard drive. Okay, are you using the newest (last released) drivers for your voodoo 3? Go to http://www.voodoofiles.com/ & find out. Now, read this article here on PCmech. Update all of your drivers. Use SiSoft Sandra to figure out what components you have in your PC. Now tell me what motherboard you have, Sandra should be able to tell you this. It should also tell you what chipset the motherboard has. Tell me one or the other. If you don't know how to do any of this let me know. |
