Will Ti AGP with BX chipset work?

My current board supports 3.3V AGP 1x/2x. Can I install a new GeForce3 Ti card (2X/4X) in this board. I have searched technical specs but cannot find if the voltage on these cards are 3.3.

Will these new DDR video cards work in a SDRAM system?

Does anyone have a similiar (BX chipset) setup with a new Ti card installed?

I don't really see any reason why it wouldn't work. Most of the AGP cards I've checked out that are 4x are also backward compatible with the 1x and 2x format. The mobo can use it, it just won't be able to utilize the 4x format so it won't be as fast; but as far as working, yeah I think it will. I'm like you, I couldn't find any technical specs for the voltage rating but if the Geforce card is 2x/4x it should support it fine, because unless I'm wrong (which is possible) I think the AGP v1.0 (1x/2x) standard is 3.3v and when it goes to AGP v2.0 (4x) the voltage goes down (not sure to what though). If this is the case, a card that supports 2x or 4x ought to be capable of either voltage. Maybe they have some sort of on-card voltage reducer for the 4x....don't know. As for the DDR board working in an SDRAM system, it shouldn't bother it because the DDR is only on the video card and doesn't have to interface with the mobo. If any of this is wrong, somebody else jump in and say so. HTH.

I have an Iwill BD100Plus Intel i440BX AGP X2 chipest 3.3V.

I bought the Ti-4600 and it works great. So yeah, the GeForce 3 will work for you.

I don't know for BX's, but with my old MVP3 board, I had bugs because the mobo did not draw enough current to my AGP board, needed to disable AGP texturing, and if I plugged a USB peripheral, then my soundcard won't work... It was with a GF2MX...

I have an old Gateway that has the BX chipset that came with 1x AGP. I bought and installed the PNY GeForce3 200TI and it works beautifully. The speed isn't at its max due to the speed of the card but it sure helped my graphics a bunch. The computer came equipped with an old Nvida 32 meg card from Gateway and the upgrade was as easy as installing the card and drivers. I was impressed with the difference. Happy puting.....

You shouldn't have any problems with that card on your board.
