another Q about counter-strike

A couple days ago I started counter-strike and it told me I needed the newest version, I think it was 1.1.0.9, so i got the new update. Now when I try getting into a game it stops and says "your .dll differs from the servers." anyone know what that is?

thanx

Okay, all that means is that the server is not updated for the new version yet. Sometimes it will take a few days for the admin to get his act together after an update. If it happens on every server, then it may be your problem with the update, but I doubt it. MAKE sure though that you have the Half-Life update (1.1.0.9) and ALSO the Counter-Strike Update (1.4), as you need BOTH to run C-S. Maybe you did already but I wasn't sure by the post. Good Luck, stick with C-S, it’s a truly awesome game.

If you refresh your server list, any servers running a different version to 1.4 now have a warning icon next to them.
Any servers without the icon a running 1.4 and you should be able to join them.
