Unhappy

I had problems installing the original drivers off the CD (chrashing during setup), but with the latest drivers installed (1.05) I find Windows very much like a blue screen minefield!

Ever since I installed new drivers, simple tasks become cause for a crash (blue screen) then a black screen, followed by a monitor error message "Input Video out of range" or something like that. It causes me to reboot. Things like minimizing a window, having a pop-up dialog box pop-up, attempting to uninstall anything, switching windows from the taskbar all cause this.
This never happened between the time when I installed the original drivers to the time when I installed the new drivers. I've attempted to remove the new drivers and install the old ones, but I get the same results.

I would appreciate any help.
Thank You,
Geron

What version of Windows? AGP or PCI? Motherboard model and chipset? If PCI, which slot is it in? Does the motherboard have on-board video that you've disabled?

Many things could be causing this, and from my experience, it's usually not the video card or its drivers.

Need more info...

If unsure how to solve strange computer problem, blame Windows...>format c:

99 times out of 100, the hardware is fine, as are the drivers for it. The inherently flawed OS is the problem.
