Ok, here's my system... if more info is needed i can supply more.
Asus P5A Mainboard AMD K6-2 550mhz 64 mb SDRAM 100 mhz bus speed Voodoo 3 3000 AGP 15" monitor (dont worry bout the monitor) been playing at 800x600 and only get 10-20fps in medium sized areas and down to 8fps when others are near. i always thought that this system should be putting out 50+ fps at such a low rez. this problem has just started in the last few months (or that's when i noticed it) the only thing i can think of doing it adding more RAM... but 20fps is still WAY too low. |

The first obvious question would be are the drivers updated? Did you recently change drivers? so on and so forth...
Have you tried pulling the video card and trying it in another machine? It usually doesn't cost anything to do so. Even a computer store usually won't charge to test a card in one of their systems. Are there any conflicts in device manager? More ram would definitely help... but really for 64 megs, those FPS are low. Which games are you running? ------------------ Life: Sexually transmitted, always fatal. ************************************ tiretool@pcmech.com |

I have updated all the drivers i can think of... even CD-ROM drivers... lol. Could the whole thing be due to a crappy Mobo?
My friend on a PII 233 Voodoo 3 2000 get 45 fps in the same setting i do... my mobo is just under 2yrs old, everything else is under 1 year. |

I've noticed the same thing in UT here of late. I've got basically your system, except my K6-2 is a 500, not a 550. On a Soyo board with 1 meg cache. Same video card.
Think I'll try the newest beta drivers from 3dfx tonight, and see what happens. Xayd |
