You are aware that elsa "just" released new drivers right? I posted a link about 2 weeks ago here. You may already have them....
This is a long shot... but re-start your system in safe mode. Go to device manager and under display adapters, if you have more than one device showing up... remove all of them. Reboot. Install the fresh drivers from the CD and then update them with the newest drivers from Elsa's web site.

I'm running the same card (Elsa Erazor X) and I have no problems with Q3 demo.

I have the very same problem.

I have a AMD K6-2 500mhz, with 128meg Ram and an Xentor 32 TNT2 Ultra graphics card.

The Menu comes up I can mess about with the menus, screen settings, everything.

I can play the game for about 10 - 15 seconds. The game plays very fast and smooth. Then 100% lock-up. No Ctrl+Alt+Del or anything.

I also get the same problem with Tiberian Sun. This Encounters Internal Errors as soon as the game starts.

And many other games just will not play. Windows works fine, Just not games.

I have resorted to buying a new PC, But this is not really a good solution.

If you get an answer could you let us know ?

I can usually play for a little longer but when it does freeze it is locked up tight. No other games are doing this including unreal tourny and thief. If I figure it out I will leave a post..

I may have fixed the problem,my nic card was sharing the same irq as the geforce.I switched the nic to a different slot on the mobo switched some shared irq's around and now the game plays great!!hopefully the mystery is solved. also I am now running the detonator 3 drivers from invidia and am trying direct x8 although these changes did not contribute to the game now working.

Great borax56 So how does your Q3 run on that Geforce card. Please tell me the FPS.

To do so start a Q3 game and pause it then go into the console by pressing (~) and type in: /cg DrawFPS 1

Mine ran at 50-55 FPS on my TNT 2.

Hey TT. I think that I got it wrong. I haven't played Q3 (busy playing UT ) in a while but I think that the command was something like that.

try www.quakeplanet.com . I think that they have all of the commands for the console.

OK TireT. It is /cg_drawFPS 1. That should work now.
