Just wondering... my geforce is on it's way (like everyone else). Sold my G400 Max, which was a tough decision, but couldn't resist the pure speed. So, anyone have problems with this setup????

Depends on the motherboard. If it is a via chipset, you might have problems. Sometimes you have to disable sidebanding and/or do some other tweaking such as increasing the FSB and increasing the voltage. See: http://www.geforcefaq.com/ this site might help. Also, if you are thinking of a via mobo for your Athlon be aware that a vortex 2/a3d based soundcard (i.e., aureal, monstersound 300mx) probably will not work with it.

I'm using a K7M (Irongate chipset), so hopefully, I won't have problems. Thanks for the link.

From my experience, my Athlon system has been every bit as good as my Celemine. Here is the hardware that has been on my Athlon set-up (which is an overclocked 700 running on a VIA chipset, I might add):
GeForce256 GeForce2 32MB GeForce2 64MB GeForce2 MX TNT2 Ultra Voodoo3 3000 ATI Rage Fury Aureal Vortex 2 SQ2500 Aureal Vortex 1 SQ1500 Not one of these things has given me so much as a single hiccup. The video cards were subjected to an overnight stress test running Quake3 Arena at 1024x768x32 with maximum details, in a room full of bots. In my opinion, a lot of these problems are people who say they have all approved hardware, but really don't. I paid a good chunk of change to get an approved 300W PS, and I haven't had any problems at all with the Athlon/Abit KA7 system I use as a testbed over at Maximum3D. Right, 'approved' hardware appears to be the key. My Abit KT7, 800 athlon, Mushkin rev 2 high performance ram, crashed in every game as soon as the game loaded. Disabling sideband and setting AGP to 1X on my TNT video card allowed the games to play for a few minutes. Turns out the problem was my Diamond Monstersound MX300 (vortex 2;a3d). I swapped it with a SBLive card and all problems disappeared (including need to disable sideband and 1X agp). MX 300 still works fine in my BX board. The diamond site acknowledges this problem and the incompatibility is dicussed in other forums. Padawan is as insightful as ever, and I will add- don't assume that your name brand hardware that worked with another chipset will work in a via/thunderbird configuration.
