Anyone interested in playing any particular game online, take the bull by the horns and post a time and date in this thread that you intend to play. That way everyone interested can plan to be online and plan to play!!! The most current remark about online play was Half-Life I think, so Floppy, if you want, post a time and date that you are available to play and we'll do it!

Oh well, not enough interest... I was afraid of that. When enough people decide to gather for some gaming...I'll be more than willing to host or participate.

Question

Tiretool, do you want to run plain HalfLife or can we run HL add-ons such as TFC or counterstrike?

I'm going to set up my computer for Q2 at 7:00 EST-- my IP address will be:
204.210.161.116 (I have a cable modem-- my ping time on Heat.net is usually around 50).

I will not be home until about 9:00-- but please feel free to use it. I would like to know if it is set up properly for people to log in and play-- so it can be used more often. Please let me know thanks.

I'll be playing by 9:00 if anyone is logged on.

Enjoyed the game Tiretool! Looks like my computer can run the game ok. I'd like to try some other games to see how they run with my computer as the server. I have:
QII plus the two add-ons
Half-Life and Opposing Force
Team Fortress Classic
Sin
Darkstone
Homeworld
System Shock 2
Freespace 2
Janes USAF
QIII Demo
Links Pro
If you or anyone else would like to play one of these let me (we can do one tonight). Also, for your information, I would not be opposed to setting up my computer as a server for times when I an not home or playing (just let me know the game and the level). Let me know!

Prader Willi, I'm sure I speak for all the other gamers here when I say "thank you". That is a very generous gesture!!! Your connection seems to be nice and fast!

I'll be joining in on the Q3 frag fest this afternoon around 1:00. Again...thanks!

I was wondering if you have Age of Empires or the Expansion or part II? I'd love to throw down on someone's kingdom! LOL
See you all in Q3!

The problem seems to be that several people log in to play, they just log in at different times!- see no one else there and log out. Workaround-- I'm going to set up a room on Heat.net for QII Arena Demo, I'll call it Prader's Room, come there and send a message and maybe we can set up a pcmech only room,-- see you there

Cobra-- seems like a slow ping-- hopefully it will be faster next time.
I'd like to try it again, just need to know people are coming-- it gets boring rather quickly running around the levels without getting shot at. Next time, I will have a about a 15 or 20 minute log in period and if no one shows up I'll head over to another multiplayer site.
On another note, I have no problems with setting up my computer as a server when I am not here. For instance, I will be gone all day Saturday (until the evening) and I see no reason why you guys can't play a game through my computer-- just let me know the game and the level and other settings and I'll leave it running for you.

Bruno-- I just downloaded UT Demo so add that game to the list.

If you're impressed with UT Demo, you should definitely look into purchasing the full version! I got it for Easter and wow... it's hard to quit after you get started!

You're right-- Played UT Demo and QIII demo--there is much more to UT than QIII; think I'll get the full version--like to try some multiplayer this weekend-- either Saturday evening or Sunday or Monday--if anyone is interested-- let me know what times are better than other
