A new video card on it's way?

There has been a lot of speculation about Matrox coming out with a monster 3d card,if it has 1/2 the stuff speculated it could definitely be playing against the big boys, especially Nvidia.
Code named "Parhelia" it may be almost here,at least that's what the speculation is.
This link is the strongest piece to the puzzle so far.

whatever happened to the stragglers from 3dfx that started their own company....now why can't someone figure out a way to comgine them, matrox, and the kryo and even SIS with their new crappy card, and try to bring out a quality product that is on par or above Nvidia.....

As an update, the new Matrox card is meant to be very fast and boast triple head setup, anyone have a huge desk and 3 monitors, there is false info going around on it ,anything being reported as g1000 is supposedly bogus.

You beat me to it,Hal!
This card looks like a monster!
I've always been a fan of Matrox, but had to change cards as the g400 was too slow in games, but if this card checks out and it appears it will come in at different prices, count me in!
Can't wait to see it in action!
For those thinking of getting a new video card, maybe wait for awhile and see what develops!

Yeah, that thing sounds awesome. Course, it also sounds like I would have to sell a kidney to afford one!

It seems Matrox will be coming out with 3 or 4 versions, one to fit many budgets.
It's meant to come in 64megs,128 megs and 256 megs.
Their bread and butter should be the 64 meg.
The 256 meg is for 3d workstations and so far has pros drooling over the potential!
I believe(hope)Matrox learned it's lesson with the g200 as far as drivers being solid prior to release.
Right now,it's speculation, but all looks promising and Matrox may be rewriting the book on games and how they will appear and play!
