To configure the game?-Setup a multiplayer game and start it. Then have others on your lan click on find lan games. Nothing to it.
Not sure if I am really addressing the problem though, let me know.

Yeah, that should be all there is to it. As long as the computers "see" each other during other network operations, that's it.

UT network setup is a cinch. I haven't had any problems with it. Start a game, join. Should be good to go.

What do those Mutators do ? I saw one that says Chainsaw or something like that. Does it add a chainsaw to the game ??

Another thing you should try out (if you can wait out the Download) is getting mods for UT.
My current favorites are:
StrikeForce
Infiltration(LOOKS GREAT!)
Those are all for now. go check out PlanetUnreal For more info on mods and new levels/weapons. There is alot of replayability now adays. I still play HL!
Hope that creates more fun for the LAN!

Hey Carlos, BTW if you ever want to know how good you "aren't" at this game, feel free to stop by the Team DM server "Mercury Rising", me and some friends of mine are usually there, and would be happy to give ya a pointer or two, if ya know what I mean...

When you go to "find internet games", click on the type of game you want to play. At that point, get a smoke, cup of coffee, etc.

The game pings all public servers at that point, and lists them in order of ping time. It takes a minute or two. To join a game, right click on the server, and "play on this server", you'll be in. You can also add servers you play on frequently to a "favorites" tab, so you don't have to ping all servers to find it in the future.

One word of advice, though. Take note of the servers that are stat active and those that aren't. Stat active servers are just that. Usually people there that are much better than the average player, just to dominate the game and improve their rankings. I personally rarely play on stat active servers, just because people who play for nothing but personal stats tend to be cheapshot artists, weapon/spawn campers, etc.

Non-active stat servers are usually much more friendly in atmosphere.
