I'm trying to setup a joystick for use in the Microsoft Combat Flight Sim game. I have a Gravis Phoenix programmable stick that ran very well until I tried to adjust the axes settings to reduce the "null zone".
After this, the game controller says the joystick is disconnected. I've tried removing and adding. And the computer doesn't see it anymore. I had been able to make some adjustments prior to this mishap. Only this time I didn't exit the game. I left it windowed. I don't understand enough to troubleshoot this. Or why it happened. Can someone set me on the path to resolution of this problem? |

I've been through these "not connected" problems before. It turns out that there are a lot of compatibility issues with controllers, especially off brands. It was Interact for me, good controllers, but wouldn't work. At one time I switch sound cards to fix it, but since I upgraded to Athlon on a KA7, they don't work again. I haven't had a problem with Logitech or Microsoft yet.
