Was just wondering if anyone is still playing these game's online anymore? Haven't seen any posts lately bout day's and time's. Just curious if anyone is interested in setting up a schedule or something, I know it's tough sometime's ,but hey, there's always ICQ and IRC to get together and get thing's going. Email me if ya want to set up something, I play Q3 mostly, but like UT, and would be up for a game now and then.

Hi skinny boy
. I still play UT and you can just name the time and place so that we can get a game going. A 3 player game and + should be good on the Morpheus stage (3 tall buildings in space.)My ICQ # is 75372630 |

Cool, cobra, what server's you play on? I am usually on greeneggs&spam, or ra3 east coast.
Go by cKz.KraCkL3. I don't know how you'll ping, but what the hell, if ya got's a regular server, maybe I'll drop in sometime. Oh forgot to say, I'm pretty much playing only Ra3 right now, but I still play Q3 once in awhile.Figarowa & Hackercarlos, you'll have to name some server's or we'll get 1 set up, cuz I have no clue any of the good one's, don't play it only at LAN's. Oh Morpheus, I remember that map, it is a pain, but hey, everyone has a fav. as long as we don't get stuck on that 1 forever, heh, heh. If anyone every wants to stop by, I'm usually at the Team DM server Mercury Rising. It's very quick, I ping it at 100 or below all the time on DSL, and a pretty friendly group. Stats are inactive, so really just a friendly game. Usually 4 teams of at least four each, on small maps no less, crazy
.I can host up to about four people as well, if you guys ever wanna run a private game. Anytime after midnight CST I'm usually around, or any weekend time. Xayd [This message has been edited by Xayd (edited 09-05-2000).] |

I usually play...
I usually play at 21.00hrs BST on either the GamesInferno DM #6 or Wireworld HC DM #1 under the name Gryphon.
I usually log on with a couple of people and it would be great to increase this number. If anyone has access to these servers at reasonable ping it would be great to meet up for a game. Andrew |

Heh, I suck completely at morpheus, but somehow it's still fun. I don't fall as much, just have a tendency to wander in circles.
It is fun to line up someone with rocket launchers from about a 45 degree angle above them, though. Plus you can't help but get that occasional wild luck shot on morpheus with rockets or sniper rifle and take out a flyer .For folks that just started playing UT, one thing to check on when looking for public servers is the version of the game, and the max players. If you ping a server at 200 on a DSL line and it has a max capacity of 20, it likely has more players than bandwidth. Plus, just because you ping it low now, doesn't mean it's gonna be fast when 5 people get in a big scrum within 5 feet of each other. On average, it takes 20k in upload bandwidth for each player to be 100% smooth at all times. You can scrape by with 10-15k for each, but no less. If you're looking at 16 players on a server with an ADSL line, it's gonna be choppy as hell, not even worth logging into it. Also, I avoid version 428 servers like the plague unless they're advertised as Linux powered. The Windoze 428 version causes NT machines to randomly ping all players on weird ports, which causes unplayable lag in games of more than 10 people. Xayd |
