UT newbie, need help.

Hey guys, I just started playing UT again (Ive had it for about 2 years just never really got into it) and have a few questions that maybe you guys can help me out with.
1.Can you change maps, your name, etc the same way you can in quake 3 in the console and if so is there a good web site you could throw a link up to with the most commonly used console commands or all of them?
2.When you go to play on a server that isnt hosting a base map do all of the files that you download go into the cache folder?
3.Can you play a map in a LAN game that you have downloaded from a server and if so how do you do it? I was trying to switch to a map that I downloaded and I couldnt find it. It only looked like the maps that I could choose from were the base maps that installed with the game.
Thanks in advance

I found some stuff.

console commands

And to play a map on your LAN that you played online, you need to actually download the map from sites that have map downloads. There are some at FilePlanet and other sites. Do a search of UT maps on yahoo and you will get loads of sites

And to change your name,go to Options/Player Setup. To change your name during play, you need to set certain binds. But I don't know how to do it though.

Oh yea, what is your name while playing, we might me up sometime. Mine is Colb.

Yeah, anything downloaded goes into the cache folder.

There's a cache.ini file that shows what each file is if you open it up. From that you can rename cache files to the map and texture names and just move them over to the maps/ and textures/ folders. Then they'll be available offline.

If you set an admin password when you start a game will then have the option to have this stuff changed in the console.

adminlogin password
admin servertravel DM-Mapname (or CTF-Mapname or whatever)
adminlogout
