Whats the best way to burn a disc?

I've recently bought a game that I want to "back-up." What is the best method to go about doing this? I currently have one cd-burner in my machine. I have another older standard cd-drive but I havn't bothered to install it. Should I copy the entire disk to my HD then burn it to a blank disc? Whats the easiest, cleanest way to make a copy...... backup of this program?

Also, once upon a time, I was told that there are "hidden" portions on discs so as to hinder people from doing this. To combat this there are programs like....In-sector???? that is designed to get around this problem. Is this true? what are the names of these programs.

Clone CD works very well. Just make sure it is a backup for your own personal use. Do not distribute copies!!

Yea, CloneCD is pretty awesome, it will copy it to your hard drive first, then to the CD. It hasn't failed me yet.
