Hi All!!!
I just finished a build (my first one) AMD 1800XP CPU Abit KT7a Raid board 256 megs of ram PC133, 40gig 7200 RPM HD, Win XP Pro. And i just installed a Gainward GeForce 3 Ti250\450 golden sample vid. card with 128 megs of on board memory. My frame rates did not even chang from the TNT2 Ultra card i had before(32 megs on that one) Im getting an av. frame rate of 55! Can this be right? My bud has a PIII 800 he put in the Kryo II card with 64 megs and is getting 120+ FPS. I herd XP sucks for gameing so mabye thats it, AGP is set to 4X mode, Gainward has a tweaker program that i installed also i checked enhanced mode it changed the memory speed from default to 450 than when i click apply it goes to 444mhz. Anybody have any idea's to try? i think i should get more than 55 FPS. right out of the box without the tweaking(I Think). Oh yea my AGP Appiture size is at 64megs.Thanks for your time!!! Nemises

Did you check and see if V-Sync is on? I would think your refresh would be a little higher than 55 anyway, but if V-Sync is on, you're never gonna get framerates higher than your refresh.

On XP, Make sure you get the NVIDIA Refresh rate fix! XP always sets it to 60 hz while in opengl. Do a google search for NVIDIA REFRESH RATE FIX and run it. You should then go up to your monitors set Refresh rate (85 usually)
