Hi all !!
I recently bought Hercules 3D Prophet II with NVidia GeForce 2 GTS, 64 MB RAM, VGA, DVI and TV Outputs. And there is 1 problem: Whenever I play a DirectX game, after a while (or even at the beginning), the screen goes black with the monitor message "No video input signal" and I have to restart my PC. It happens only during a DirectX game, but in every DirectX game. I have DirectX 7.0a and all run very well until the GeForce 2 was build in. I reinstalled DirectX and installed the newest drivers from NVidia. Problem is still there. But normal Windows and DOS doesn't cause such a problem. I can run it for hours, a DirectX game only for minutes or even seconds. Probably a conflict with the mainboard ? I've heard of problems with GeForce 2 and some mainboards. I have ABIT BH-6, bought in February 1999, Rev. 1.0x, with one of the newest BIOS (NV). OS is Windows 98 SE, CPU is Pentium II 800, and I have 64 MB RAM. Any suggestions ?? BTW, I noticed that it's probably only the 3D acceleration (Direct 3D). With Dune 2000 I had no problem so far. . . RJ [Edited by RJ on 09-07-2000 at 03:18 PM] |

I'd contact Hercules Tech support- call them, because they do not seem to answer email (at least not mine). However, they are good at providing an RMA and replacing the card in a timely manner.
