Video ghosting

I received my third 3d Prophet DDR video card last night (the other two needed to be sent back because they didn't work, one had ram problems, the other wouldn't run 3d). Installation of this card resulted in ghosting (similar to the ghosts you get when you have bad TV reception) in 2d settings (Windows, internet, word processing) bu the the 3D work find (game look and run well). Any ideas? or do I need yet another card? I've installed latest drivers (a few times), but no improvement. The other two cards did not have this ghosting problem.

Get a refund and buy a Gladiac! I'm joking... Is there a bios upgrade for that card? If so you could try flashing the bios. Hercules is a reputable company and it bothers me that you would have so many bad cards from them. Are they beginning to let the quality factor slide downhill a bit in order to keep up with card demand? Possibly. Keep talking to their support team and don't rest until you get satisfaction. If you have to send it back 10 times before they get you fixed up then do it. (Unless you get tired of messing with them and decide to go with another brand name).

Thanks Tiretool, yes I did flash the bios-- I just think I'm having a very unusual run of bad luck with the cards-- I got another RMA today and will try for number 4.

Received my 4th Geforce card last night and everything seems to work fine. Time to play some UT!
