Thumbs up RTCW- Tram Seige

Tram Seige comes with the new RTCW patch. This has got to be the best teambased level around. Its huge- with several objectives- and takes at least 10-15 players per team to be played well. So you online

Sweet! I'll be DLing that tonight. Are many servers offering that map? I usually just see Beach, Village, Sub, Base, etc.

Where is the best DL server for this patch? What else is the patch for?

This is what the site says:
"This patch will upgrade your retail Return to Castle Wolfenstein game to version 1.32. This update for Return to Castle Wolfenstein enchances ATI Truform support for Radeon graphics cards, and also adds support for moving objects in maps. A new multiplayer map called "Tram" showing off this support is included in the update. The update is also available in both Linux and Windows formats. Users have a choice of a full patch that will upgrade RtCW from any version, or a smaller patch for those who installed the 1.3 patch previously. "

Many servers are hosting this level.

Ok, but...

I've installed patch 1.32, but now I can't get "old" servers on my list. Apparently everyone has to be on patch v.1.32 in order to play. Is there anyway I can get back to the old servers or version?

If you are new to Tram- a hint- the map is large and in two sections- after you blow the supply room and get the documents you have to go through the mountain to another large section- you know you are on the right side when the trams have yellow, instead of red, stripes-- I've seen many people get the documents, but then not know where to take them- a waste much time finding out they are on the wrong side of the mountain

2 hour learning process

Well, I spent a couple of hours on a low population server just cruising around familiarizing myself with the map. It can be confusing, but at least RTCW had the decency to color the trams yellow and red, otherwise...
Yesterday, (as the Engineer) I blew all three doors and returned the docs!
Now, where is a good place to DL "Ice", "Tank", etc.?

Tram is an awesome map.
really brings out the team spirit - i got tked so many times for running with docs in the wrong direction . They could have made the 2 parts of map less identical.
Colour coded trams are just too hard to spot in the heat of the battle...

but otherwise trams are a great idea - kneel and look down on to the terrain passing below - almost like u're in a chopper.

yep, so many ways to play it, sniper, Lt., medic, Panzerfaust,- in close deathmatch style encounters as well as distance kills- with in place guns or one of the above- with each being important.

I haven't seen a map this large since Serious Sam: SE

Played it the other day with 43 other players, whoa- talk about intense
