G force 3
In response to question about a Gforece three being a TI 200, I got "This card is a HIS graphic master geforce3". What does this mean? Is it a previous card or better than the TI 200? I was told that dumb questions were ok. Thanks,

Hi hodunwun,
I don't know the context the remark was made because I don't know which thread it is; however, I'll hazard a guess. "HIS Graphic Master" is just a brand of video card. Just like Creative, Asus or Gainward. Performance-wise the standard Geoforce 3 is better than the Ti 200 version. The GeForce3 Ti 200 (DDR) runs at 175mhz core / 200mhz memory. The GeForce3 (DDR) runs at 200mhz core / 230mhz memory. The GeForce3 Ti 500 (DDR) runs at 240mhz core / 250mhz memory. I hope that answers your question. |
