Serious Sam (FE and SE) are both a kick and the online COOP play is pretty addictive.
I also dug out my RUNE after about a year and realized just how good and fun it is. It's the rare shooter that's in a totally different setting but is every bit as fast paced and gory. I'm also amazed at just how great the graphics are. I guess it's just a refreshing change to use a sword instead of a sniper rifle. |

I know it's not a true FPS but it is a masterpiece of art: Deus Ex.

Tribes 2? You crazy? Too demanding on a system..... No matter what I could do I never got decent framerates in multi-player.
After downloading Day of Defeat, I love it! WW2 with a ton of realism! Sure it is a lot like C-Strike, and it is a HL mod, but it is much better than TFC with swarms of HWs.... Also no red-dot death, and you CAN hide(ever try to hide good in TFC? it's near impossible to do. Logan |

Just tried Men of Honor: Allied Assault and man, if I bought it, it would probably break me of my CS habit. Sort of like methadone treatment.

I know it's not really a shooter, but Morrowind is what has me up late at night these days... I've spent hours just looking at the 2 moons in that game... damn fine scenery.

Hey Wolfie, how is The Sum of All Fears? I heard it was reviewed pretty good but was sort of leery.

Well, I was going to play SOF2 but then my boys nabbed it - so I'm going to have to wait.
Currently amusing myself by replaying Red Faction. I'd forgotten what a fast-moving, adrenaline pumper this was. Clever and interesting level design. You just can't stop wanting to know what's around the next corner. As I can't stop playing it - it gets my favourite game of the moment award. Yours retrofully, Mike |
