2 Gamepads

Can I put a second gamepad for my kid's PC?
Will it be as good as the Nintendos and such?
What do I need to do it?
It is WimME with a soundblaster Live card, visiontek GF2 video card. Tbird 800, on TYAN MB.

My guess is that it should work if you use 2 USB gamepads.

If the game supports 2 independent game pads, it should work.

A friend of mine and I used to fly flight simulator with 2 joysticks simulataneously, but in this case they're not independent.

I wonder if I could keep the current one that is hooked to the gameport on the soundcard and add a usb one. That sounds like the ticket to me! I have seen some kind of Y connector though for 2 gamepads off of the one gameport. Anybody know about those, cause I already own another gamepad for soundcard gameport!

Yeah, I used to have a Y cable before the USB era. Friend and I we fly flightsim together for a long time

They are also independent. When calibrating the joysticks, each joystick could be calibrated extra (means one joystick could not interfere the other). But both joysticks had to be the same otherwise it won't work. I had only a simple joystick, and he had a joystick with thrust control. To fly with both sticks we had to tell windows we have two simple joysticks, so he couldn't use thrust control. This you should keep in mind if you want a new gamepad.

Also the game has to support independent gamepads. But then it should work.
