Yet ANOTHER CS problem

I get a few messages now, when I join servers. They come up in the console after I get kicked (not by an admin, automatically, I have NOT cheating or hacking). It doesn't happen on all of them, but it does happen on a specefic one, that I kinda really want to play at. I get the following messages after being connected for, oh, about 20-30 seconds:

Host Error: DispatcheUserMsg: Illegal User Msg 156

Host Error: CL_Parse_Version: Server is protocol 440 instead of 45

I only get one of them at a time, but I have gotten both of them. Is this something wrong with my PC, or with the server? Thanks

This makes me suspect your update source did not have compatible files for the server in question. Is there only one source for the updates? That would help in quite a few games I can think of. Or, at least if they all had the same files.....
Of course it could be the particular mod the server is running, too.

This started happening to everyone a few months ago. The 1.4 update fixed the problem for the most part. Whatever the problem is though, it is server side and I don't think it has anything to do with your PC, unless you are running Cheating-Death, which seems to not necessarily cause the problem, but makes whatever the problem is worse.

I've only had it happen to me once since the 1.4 upgrade
